BUYV - 2010 In Film Part 1

It wasn't until I started editing this and realizing how many of these movies do have trailers that would allow me to judge them better that I decided out of all...4 videos I've done, this one...is my 4th favorite. Part 2 will have much better research. I do like the clips I used though. That's what saves this for me. Enjoy!

NEW COMIC: Total Drama College

My best friend Zobe is absolutely in love with the "Total Drama ___" series. I like it...not as much as him. Not NEARLY as much. But it's one of the better cartoons out today. So he had the idea of taking himself and all his friends in college* and putting them in his own version of the show in web comic format.

Since he's always been more of an artist than a writer he asked me for a bit of help with the story...then he asked me to write some character auditions...then we worked out the entire series together. Now I'm co-writer, so I'm adding it onto this blog.

The auditions are nearly over, and soon the actual story can begin! In the meantime get acquainted with all the characters (Zobe is Martin). ENJOY!

* - In the UK "college" and "university" are NOT interchangeable terms. University is what the US thinks of when someone says college. Their college is different, but I'm not entirely sure how. Just know that it is so there's no confusion for any future mention of either term in UK context.

Frobert #75 - Resolution 9, and NEWS!

Ha-HA! I've figured out how to do it now! Simply click that thumbnail and it'll bring you STRAIGHT to the page! Enjoy.

This is a great segway into my news, by the way, because if you've noticed, the blog's layout is a bit different. I had to forgo a few insignificant aesthetic touches to the layout, but now my blog can fit my BUYV videos on the page! I also made the ma bit smaller, but nothing that will diminish their watch/readability.

Maybe once I've got an idea on what this place should look like I'll spruce it up even more! But for now there is work to be done! The New Year's vid isn't going to edit itself! Awaaaayyyy!

T&Z #254 "See you later Space Cowboy..."

Here's the page.

Yep. Call this the series finale I guess. I'm shutting this canon down and starting fresh with a brand new series! Lot of new ideas, and my good buddy Gamafort's helping it all come to life. His art's got just what I'm looking for, and we're both eager to get things moving. Enjoy.

Jason Vs Christmas Pic!

Here's the pic!

When Maja showed me this I was nothing but smiles. She never ceases to amaze and delight. She's been the best collaborator on any project I've ever had, and I wish her and her's a Merry Christmas. And likewise to the rest of you! Enjoy the holidays.

Frobert #74 - Frob Bitten

Here's the comic.

Based on a random phone call I got from my aunt who wanted to know why it was impossible for Jesus to be born when we celebrate Christmas. Short answer: Unsurvivabley cold at night, and a Biblical-times manger can barely be considered any sort of shelter. We celebrate it now because it's around the Winter Solstice. Gotta convert those pagans somehow, peoples! Enjoy.

Jason Vs The Evil Dead - 21 & News!

Here's the comic.

Enjoy.

NEWS! After me and some fellow forum-goers on the Smack Jeeves forum had a spur of the moment idea that it would be cool to have a Webcomic Awards, I decided "then let's do it!" So I've rallied together support from loads of people on the site and have put together committee to organize it, and all I need is a yes or no from Admin the administrator to make it happen! Someone told me in the past he was opposed to the idea, but I sent him a PM stating my case. I hope I was as persuasive as I thought I sounded, because pretty much everyone who has heard of the idea is nothing but supportive of it.

Frobert #72. Spontaneous Frobustion

Here's the comic.

Sorry! The comic actually went up on time, but I completely forgot to publish this after I wrote it & saved it. Good news though! School's finally wrapping up for the fall, and December will give me plenty of time to film MORE VIDEOS! So I'm looking forward to that. I hope you are too.

Updating a comic book that isn't gag-a-day one page a week is soooo suspenseful! Every week I say "something awesome's about to happen!" but it's like EVERY page is awesome to me!...AWESOME!

Frobert #71. Know When to Frob 'Em

I keep linking to Frobby's Smack Jeeves site, which I suppose is its home-page, but I also post it on 5 other sites as well, not counting this blog. So I'm really hoping to get s job one of these days and work on getting my comics their own website to host on.

Problem with THAT is I'd lose a lot of my fans. I post on art sites that those people are already a member of. They watch a lot of other comics and art on those sites besides mine, so it's extremely convenient for them. They don't even have to CHECK. The site tells them when I've updated. If I posted on my own website, unless they use RSS or whatever, there's no real way to be informed when I've updated other than them having to go and check.

It sounds like a ridiculous and lazy thing to do when you sat it like that, but hey that's the internet. I just have to hope eventually I'll have enough fans at that point where losing a lot will still leave me with a respectable amount of readers.

Jason Vs The Evil Dead - 18

Here's the comic.

Now it starts getting good! Aw, who am I kidding? For me it's getting better every page. This script had been collecting digital-dust for years until I finally found Maja. I am so freaking happy this comic exists now. Try to enjoy it as much as I am (good luck with that).

HAPPY FRIDAY THE 13TH! I would've asked Maja to make a special holiday page (Yes, we here at Jason Vs consider Friday the 13th a holiday), but she missed last week due to illness, so we wanted to make sure we made up for it...also, I completely forgot it was Friday the 13th. Please to enjoy.

What the-...Huh?...I...What?

Quick blog post before Glee starts. (It's got a Kurt sub-plot! YAY!)

In my never ending quest to entertain the masses of the internet, something unexpected has happened. First off, some back-up info. My friend TJ who like me made webcomics and sometimes does videos, has a funny little series of cartoon shorts about a rabbit named Jim who is trapped in B&W educational films and is ridiculed by the narrator.

Here are those:
Jim's 5th Unofficial (my personal favorite)

Well, last year back when I still went to high school (WOOT COLLEGE!...BOO COLLEGE WORK!) I did a group project in Child Psych about...I forget. Pregnancy and exercise! That was it. So I said "Well, jobs are exercise, and it's a realiztic issue. Not everyone works out, but every adult needs a job." So I was in charge of that part of the presentation...so instead of doing ACTUAL work I contacted TJ, and had him narrate THIS.

Obviously I didn't want to put in the effort to actually animate it, so this was all done on Movie Maker. It got loads of laughs at school. Yay for me. Well, a couple days ago TJ tells me he's put the Jim cartoons on Newgrounds, and he's included mine as part of the Jim series. Not technicalyl a flash animation, but I was flattered.

...IT'S BECOME MORE POPULAR THAN ANY OF HIS LEGIT ANIMATIONS.

What?! I'm not bragging here, I'm CONFUSED. TJ is hilarious, he's got talent out the wazoo, and something I made in Movie Maker trumps him? Why? What is wrong with Newgerounds! Look at their front page right now! If you're reading this soon after I've posted it, my cartoon is there on the front page...WHAT?

I'm also annoyed since I put more effort in other stuff, and nothing else has got half as much attention THIS quick. Talk about irony. I get popular and I don't WANT it. Universal Irony. It's a bit-

OH! GLEE'S ON! Gotta go!

TRPoRA #62 - "Kinky"

Here's one I didn't think I'd have to mention (which is why I didn't in my very first post). TRPoRA, which stands for "The RPG Parody of Rotating Artists," is a project my good friends Jacob and Yuki (better known as Pandachu, former artist for "Tezzle & Zeek" for a short time) thought up. They took turns writing & drawing pages of this little RPG spoof comic, and it was pretty funny. The only flaw was they gave each otehr little knowledge of what the other one was doing short of little ideas of where they wanted to take the plot, so the story got a bit carried away. It's something we've done our best to fix.

Which brings me to my joining up with the team. I was originally an artist too for a couple comics, but I soon discovered I hadn't the zest for drawing my associates had (which is why except for Frobby I stick to writing), so I just wrote it and they'd draw my comics.

Then Yuki took a hiatus, so Jake and I took over, with me & him scripting back & forth, and he'd just draw them. This is where things really took off, and we started to have a really solid idea of where we wanted to take the story. It was fun. We'd go back & forth making a dozen scripts every day! But Jake put the comic on hiatus again. Well, a couple days ago Yuki offered to return. So now she's the artist and she's using Jake & my scripts.

Just today we got together again and thought up a sweet new storyline after we're done with the current arc. I hope she can keep updating regularly. No offense to Yuki who is just plain awesome, but her work ethic and ability to get comics out on a regular basis is really her Achilles heel, which is why she quit T&Z.

Enjoy TRPoRA!

Last Year's NaNoWriMo Novel

Some people......okay, just my mom, asked if they could read my novel I finished last year.

Well it just so happens I split my novel up into 7 parts, posting each one on my Deviant Art page. It's a first draft, so it's not perfect. Typos here & there, etc, but if you've got the free-time tell me what you think. Here's "I Hate Zombies."

My first novel that I STILL haven't finished used to be up there too, but I took it down. It's incomplete and I'm thinking of changing it a lot...once I get around to actually writing it again.

Frobert #68. Frogeta

Here's the comic. I have nothing to say for myself. I stand by this ridiculous comic as much as I stand by ALL of my ridiculous comics. Dragon ball Z was my childhood, and continues to be a big part of my life today, what with the recent release of the DRAGON BALL Z: DRAGON BOX ONE! Soooo asking for that for Christmas.

NaNoWriMo Has Begun

National Novel Writing Month is something that happens all over the world every November. It's a marathon for all writers of any kind! No qualifications needed, just have a passion for literature. The goal is to write a 50,000 word novel (which is actually a fairly small novel) from November 1st to the 30th. There's no prize for winning, it's about setting a goal and reaching it. It's your own personal achievement, and really that's the best kind of victory there is, I feel.

This is my 3rd consecutive year participating. First year I sucked, next year I nailed it, and this year I hope to repeat my victory. I was not going to participate since 1, college is taking over my life at the moment and 2, I couldn't even think of a plot. Today in the middle of homework, I was struck out of nowhere with inspiration. I had the opening scene, and the final scene of a book. What would it be about I had no idea, but I knew I had to write it. So I'm now over 2000 words in and apparently it's about time travel. It's called "Tim Saves the World," and I hope it's awesome. I honestly don't know what's going to happen, but I know how it all ends. I'm pretty excited.

If you want to participate...well you've already missed one day if you're reading this on November 2nd. In order to pick up the pace you'll either have to write 3334 words on your first day, or write at least 1725 words every day for 29 days, instead of the usual 1667 per day for 30.

To anyone joining me in NaNoWriMo, I wish you luck!

BUYV #1 - Halloween Review of "The Thing"

A bit late, and the title card drawn by my good friend Zobe couldn't make it, because of last minute internet troubles (on HIS end this time), but I'll add it in later. For now enjoy the review:
EDIT: He never got around to finishing it, and I've decided to nix the title cards for now. He's just too busy to do them, poor guy.

Jason Vs The Evil Dead - 16

Here's a link to the comic where you can read the other 15 pages as well.

Internet troubles (which as STILL ever present) kept me from updating on Friday, but I figured I'd use this to just post on Halloween instead. No big deal.

So this is the Friday the 13th fan-comic I mentioned in my first post. it is drawn by the amazingly talented Maja Cronvall of Sweden. I found her on Deviant Art by searching for Jason Voorhees fan art, and she was more than happy to draw for me. She's a great kid, good work ethic, I don't often collaborate because it can go very wrong most of the time, but she's just been fantastic. Also, she loves a good slasher movie just as much as I do.

Welcome to TZE! For All Things Tezzle Related

I've been dabbling in many fields and hope to dabble in more as time goes by. Writing, art, film, animation (that one falls under the aforementioned "hope to dabble in more" category), so I've decided to bring them all here. I have a few webcomics, some more...alive than others, and I'm doing a monthly review show, so I figured I needed to get my own site to host that as well. This is a good start, I figure, since...well mainly it's free (I also hope to dabble in being employed).

Here is a brief rundown of everything I do for any newcomers:
- Old Tezzle & Zeek: (completed) My first webcomic from back when I took little effort to draw instead of absolutely no effort like today, and the starting point for all my subsequent aspirations for internet fame.
- NEW Tezzle & Zeek: (In-Production) Right now we're working on rebooting it completely. I say "we" since I have another person handling the art who isn't Pandachu. Sadly she didn't work out, but she's awesome none the less. You rock too, GFort!
- Frobert The Demon: Definitely my most popular project to date. The art is simple (of course it is, I'm the artist) but it's fun and silly and people seem to really like it. It's got a store with cool shirts and stuff and I'm working on self-publishing volume 1 of the comic sometime, with oodles of extra content to give you your money's worth. Updates every Monday.
- Jason Vs: My attempts at a fan-comic for my favorite slasher series "Friday the 13th." Every chapter has Jason pitted against another classic horror icon. It's still in its infancy, so check it out now so you can say "I read it before it was cool!" Because we've all wanted to be able to say that at least once in our lives. Updates every Friday (Not this Friday though. Internet troubles that are hopefully solved by now).
- Old Blow Up Your Video: (Discontinued) I have some 10 minute so-so quality movie-reviews on my YouTube account from a while back. I've been wanting to get into it again, but this time with a slightly better quality. I made a NEW account just for this reboot, but after realizing my reviews will probably end up being more than 10 minute I've decided to move to BlipTV where all the other internet video critics are, apparently. So check out the old stuff to get a taste of what's in store.
- New Blow Up Your Video: Better camera, better presentation, and hopefully better comedy. The main review show updates once a month, but I have other things like commentary and bloopers interspersed between to pad things out.
- TRPORA: (hiatus) This is a collaboration project originally between my friend Jake & Yuki/Pandachu . Then I joined up, but mostly as a writer. Now Yuki draws it and Jake and I write, but Yuki's on hiatus.
- Total Drama College: (Discontinued) Created solely by my fantastic friend across the pond, Zobe. I love him. It's an homage to the Total Drama Island/Action/Musical series except he's using his real life friends as characters. I'm helped write and organize the script, but he had final say on everything. Ended for various reasons, but mainly because it was time consuming and interfered with more important things going on in his life.
- Journey to The West: (COMING SOON!) I've always wanted to do a full comic adaptation of Journey to the West...so I am. The talented Sonic-Ock shall aid me by drawing it.
- One Piece Abridged: (In-Production) Yes, I've jumped on the abridged anime bandwagon. I've recently discovered that One Piece is one of the best anime/manga I've seen (though I haven't exactly seen a ton) and I've also discovered the awesomeness of YuGiOh and DBZ Abridged (all the others...not so much, from what I've seen), so I figured it's a free internet. If everyone's doing it, I want to give this a shot too. Coming...Iunno. Eventually.
- T&ZCast: (COMING SOON!) An audio podcast with me & my bestest buddy Zobe (his DA page is linked to right there on the right side of the blog). We'll talk about stuff and things, have guests which will either be our internet friends, real life friends, or even celebrity guests (well, they're celebrities to us at least, only because they're far more talented than us and a bit more well-known).
- TMNT: The Abridged Series: (In-Production) The original 1980s series. This isn't something I'm writing. SOLELY doing voice work. Maybe we'll get together on Skype and bat around lines and stuff, but for the most part I'm just a voice-actor. I auditioned for practically every male role, and in the end I got Bebop & Rocksteady, and he also loved my Raphael & Baxter Stockman and wanted me to retry those, which I did. No word back as of yet. And, if I may be a bit egotistical, I did a damn good Shredder, but the head of the production team was already planning on voicing him.

So there you have it. Everything you need to know about my projects. Enjoy!
